About

Gary was born & raised in Central Illinois and has played the local music scene for a great many years. Mainly a drummer, he took to the guitar, bass, and vocals to expand his writing capabilities and truly found a passion.

Gary has played with some of the area's best musicians, as well as a few well-known artists. Not only writing and recording his own music, he also enjoys playing in local cover band, Revel in Red with some great musicians.

Early on...

From an early age, Gary knew that there was a lot of music inside him. He wanted to tap that musical vein without limitations. Having everything needed at his fingertips was the ultimate goal.

"Never neglect inspiration" is something that he lives by. "Be ready, and when it comes, grab it & let it move you in the direction that it wants to go. It has to come naturally & not be forced, or it will sound forced."

"Musically, I try to inspire others to do their best and enjoy each moment. Musicianship is not something that people are born with, but something you have to work hard to get to where you really want to be.

As a live musician, I feel that the visual aspect is almost as important as the musical aspect. People tend to enjoy it more when they can hear the excitement as well as see you enjoying it and having fun. That excitement in your eyes is something that can't be faked. They can also see when you're not enjoying yourself. So have fun with it!"
